Everything is Streaking

I've never had this problem before, but on Sunday I was just washing my car normally. It was pretty hot out, so the water was drying up before it was water spotting. No problem I figure, I let the car sit in the garage for an hour or so, so the paint can cool off and use some Cyrstal Mist to remove the water spots. Well the crystal mist starts streaking. I figured, what the heck, why not go ahead and wax it. I bust out the jar of P21S and it starts streaking. Then I use Souveran and it is streaking. What is the deal and why is everything streaking? I took some PPCL and lightly polished my hood to try to remove the streaking, sort of came out. Then I got the VM out and it seemed like most of the streaking was gone. I went to top it off with carnauba again and boo-hoo, more streaks.

Streaking is usually caused by too much heat, too much humidity, or too much product used. I'll bet one or more of these were the culprit.



The QD "flash cured" the wax. Water would have done the same thing.
