Eurow wash mitt give mixed results.

I've done searches in this forum on wash mitts, and it seems like I can't trust any of them. For instance, I got the Eurow kind from Wal-Mart: genuine sheepskin, and with light pressure on a CD it was ok, but under moderate pressure it marred my CD. And I haven't used the darn thing yet! I'm amazed as it is so soft and plush!

So what should I do now? Should I return it? Is this typical of sheepskin mitts? I mean, if the labeling says it can be used to dust furniture, shouldn't it be safe then for car paint?

I dunno. I read some stuff about MF wash mitts. Maybe I'll check into those.

Any input? :nixweiss

I'm using the Eurow mitts right now. I havn't had any problems with them so far. I was skeptical at first too, remember your soapy water will soften up the mitt even more, and with the added lubricity you should be fine.

I haven't had problems with the lambswool mitts either. Remember your mitt will be wet and you're using a car wash shampoo, so I really doubt you'll have any problems as long as you keep it clean!

I have been using the same Eurow wash mitt from Wallyworld for over a year (just bought another one last weekend) and have had no problem at all with it. No swirling or scratches and it is very easy to rinse clean if the car was not too dirty and I also run it through the machine wash every month or so.

I always wonder about testing something you haven't washed yet. I'd imagine they might be dusty and such from transport, manufacture, and being on a shelf. I always wash my new stuff before use. Just a thought.

I have used MF mitts from Micrfibertech and cotton chenille mitts from CMA. They both work well and neither has marred my cars, but I much prefer the cotton chenille for the pure glide-ability on the car's surface. Much more feeling of glide that with the MF mitt.

Target has a good Mitt, Baja Sol is the name. I liked mine a lot better than the 15 dollar mitts I bougt at CCO and Target's is 6 bucks

Hmm.... I bought one of those Eurow mitts from Walmart too because I thought it felt very soft and plush. But after my second and third use, huge chunks of the mitt were falling off into my rinse bucket. I immediately stopped using it. I'm glad others have had better luck. I went back to using cotton mitts. The Turtle Wax cotton chenille mitt is very plush. But maybe I'll try the wool mitts again when that wears out.

vmunoz,

I'm certain you just got a bad mitt. I've been using the Eurows since spring with outstanding results.
