Eurow 10 pack microfiber shag weave towels

Isn't this the same small-business problem everywhere, customers say "why should I buy from you when I can get it cheaper from Home Depot/Wal-Mart/CVS/Grainger etc."?

EDIT: or to bring it back to cars "from the highway dealer/car wash detailer"

I just received mine today, and these things are amazing! Super soft and plush...

Update: If you think they're soft when they arrive, wait until you wash them.

agreed, as i mentioned before... they are compressed in the package and once they are washed/dried, they fluff up even more and are even more softer! :up

I just saw this same exact towel in autozone, but with the autozone name. Part number

052948117289

i have felt both and IMO the eurows are nicer (than the pepboys one as well). autozone probably got them made by the zillion other plants who do microfiber these days like the mf products they have branded for them as well...

I agree. The bad part is not only are shipping fees going up but everyone wants a discount on their items AND discounted shipping and want the suppliers to take two hits.

Nope, I just want to be charged for what it costs to ship something, period. Not to help offset the "discount" of the item I bought.

As mentioned before USPS priority boxes do not cost 10 bucks. Ever look into DHL? I shipped a STI water tank (approx 48x18x15) for 14 bucks, and thats what I charged to ship it to the buyer, profit should come from the item sold, not shipping.

Also how do companies like FinishKare do it? i.e. a set $4.25 no matter what you buy? Why can't other companies do this?

So back to the point at hand, 25 bucks for 10 of these towels still seems to be a good deal (2.50 a towel) but what irritates most ppl is when you get hit 10 bucks for "shipping" when we all know it can be done for more than half that. What ends up happening, at least with me, is I'll wait until I have 75 dollars worth of stuff and buy from AG (free ship) Well, my next purchase of MFers will be with Pakshak because of Ranney deeply discounting the shipping rate (probably to what it actually cost him) on my last purchase.

First of all, the USPS Priority Flat Rate box (there are 2 boxes) cost $8.95. According to USPS, there's supposedly a new larger Flat Rate box that costs $12.95. So I don't know where you got your $5 flat rate price from?

As far as FinishKare goes with their $5 flat rate shipping, do you actually think they can ship everything for $5? For some customers, maybe it costs them less than that but I'm sure for a majority of their customer, it costs a lot more than $5. So how are they able to do it? Simple. Add the cost of shipping into the cost of the product. AutoGeek does the same thing. Yeah, AG is usually a bit cheaper in the end once you factor in all costs involved, but it's not by a huge difference. Where AG is better than some of the smaller guys is the fact that you can buy more of what you want from one place, thereby saving on shipping costs. Even though shipping may be "free", in the end you're paying for it... it just doesn't show on your invoice as "shipping".

Also another thing people seem to forget is that the cost of shipping isn't just what it cost the person to ship it to you. You're forgetting about the person's/company's time to put that package together, the gas used to take it to the Post Office/Shipping center, the cost of packaging material, etc. That's why it's called shipping AND handling.

I hate paying for high shipping costs too and I'm also guilty for complaining. But the reality is that when doing business online, the product has to get shipped to you and somewhere along the line, that cost is passed down to the consumer. Unfortunately we live in a world today where most people expect to have their cake and eat it too.

IMO, I don't think enough people realize the severity of what this next recession might bring. I predict that it's only going to get worse.

Thanks!

If you guys would rather have free shipping I can do that no problem. The cost of a bottle of wax would be $50 though. LOL We don't use shipping to offset our discounts, we LOSE money on shipping after you figure in boxes, shippers time, and packaging material. Why don't WE use USPS or something else? Because we USED to and UPS has treated us and our customers the best and has been the most reliable with 100% tracking info every step of the way. Not tracking info that appears after the delivery. ;)

Thanks for the reply, even though my post was directed completely at you (even though I might have used a point as an example) more as a general shipping point. As the "shipping guy" in a small business and now small business owner, I understand where shipping costs (and handling ;) ) come from, and what operating expenses are. And maybe thats why I have a hard time swallowing a 10 shipping charge for 2lbs worth of towels; am I saying companies are ripping me off for charging me that, not completely, especially if you're using UPS (Even with a business account rate) All I am saying is that there are other ways to ship small items, cheaper. Give the customers some more shipping options, UPS & FED Ex have some nice perks but are usually more expensive compared to say DHL and USPS.

My point was simply, I think some ppl would be more apt to buy a product if companies used some other forms of shipping, in turn would help offset/lower costs both for business and consumer. :xyxthumbs

Wish I got in when they were cheaper but still not bad at $3.60 each...

agreed and even at $25.99, you still can't beat that for TEN high quality microfiber towels!

tried these yesterday fot the first time and am sold - going to dive in for a pack over here, as they are superb value :D

Are people still using them for ONR washes or is a GS better?

I switched to using the Eurows for ONR washes, as I was having a hard time getting the GS to pick up all the brake dust off of the quarter panels and doors. Nothing against GS's at all, though, they are great for ONR washes.

also to point out... patrick over at exceldetail carries them as well, so if you plan on doing an order with him (you should, he's got lots of great stuff!), throw a pack of these in the order as well...
