hey check this out, i've had these waterspots from having my car parked during a week of summer vacation under sprinklers a couple of years ago. minerals etched into the windows so bad that i have never been able to get them off even with my pc and any of my paint polishes. i didnt resort to steel wool though because i heard other ppl say it marrs the windows a bit.

anyway, this guy at my local tint shop told me about this stuff. it called "nothin's better." i'll let the pics do the talking.

cleaned with stoner's invisible glass:

if you cant tell the "after" is on the left side. you can see way clearer reflection. and no gross water etchings.

oh yeah i just got my windows tinted too, 20%. what do you guys think? i dont know how i like it... it actually turned out a little darker than i had wanted it to be.. too much contrast?

Nice results. I couldn't get the product website to pull up. Much easier than using something like Barkeeper's Friend?

Your before and after shot (left/right) is clear-- the stuff works!!! I need some o' that! I can't find it through a quick google search. Where did you get it? I may just ask some local tint shops if they can locate it.

tasty- yeah for some reason, i cant get the site to work either. i've never used barkeeper's friend, but this is pretty easy to use. you have to rub pretty hard if the deposits are pretty etched in.. i might try it with a pc next though.

ratedg- i got it at this local auto parts shop. but yeah i would definitely ask one of your local tint shops as they may have it. the stuff is awesome.

is this the same stuff? http://www.mustangsplus.com/Merchan...de=MPFMP&Product_Code=02508&Category_Code=chm the one that you got is a 12 oz. but this is 4 oz. only. and it has that same smiley face on the container.

yeah! well kinda. this is what the tint shop had. its a powder that you mix with a little water to get it kind of pasty. i saw them use it on part of my car. the jar that i got from the parts shop is already mixed into a paste. but yeah, they work the same. nice find!

i just finished a car that had the worst water spots i've dealt w/ yet on all exterior glass. stoner's IG didn't touch it...PC didn't do it...then i just used a damp (with water) MF and dipped it into a little vinegar....boom...the spots were gone instantly. not sure how strong vinegar ranks compared to these product, but the price is right. :)

I've tried vinegar before on my 13yr old side mirrors but it didnt work that well. The vinegar i used was grocery-store bought, so the concentration might not be that high.

That mustang site has the paste compound 7 oz for $3.99: http://www.mustangsplus.com/Merchan...de=MPFMP&Product_Code=06668&Category_Code=chm

How much paste does the 4oz mix yield?

I'm going to see if any local tint shops around me has it, shipping from that mustang site is too high. Shipping for one 7oz jar is $6.16. Shipping on five 7oz jars is $8.xx. Nothing else useful to me on that site.
