I bought a 2000 Escort ZX2 a few months back for my daughter to drive. Purchased from a young lady who, I'm guessing, never heard of wax, much less polish.
She explained that her apartment parking spot was drenched two to three times a week from the sprinklers, I would have pitched a fit with the management, she just let it go.
I've not completed the job yet, just thought I'd share the progress so far. Using a PC.
This is what the hood and front fender looked like, horrible spots and some deep etching:
Drivers side of the hood and half the drivers fender after two passes with 3M compound and two passes with #83:
The drivers fender complete:
And the hood and fender, this pic didn't turn out well, but...
I'll finish the car up tomorrow with the rest done with #83, then #80, then #21. Then I'll show my daughter on Monday how to apply some carnuba to keep it looking good.
Cheers,
Russ
