ok, so ive been topping my coats of zaino periodically like many zaino users here. i believe the last time i did it (2 coats of Z2 with zfx) was in January 12th. But heres the thing, i only get to drive my car saturdays and sundays because of school away from home. so its definitley not a daily driver, and some weekends i dont drive it at all. whenever i drive i probably do less than 25 miles. my car is always garaged.



so my question is, with these conditions, how long would my zaino coats last? its been a little over 6 weeks now...



oh yea, im asking because i dont want to do any zainoing becuase i could be getting a paint job for my hood and rear bumper anytime soon one of these weekends.
 
As long as your car isn't being exposed to the elements and mostly garaged, I'd say a couple coats could easily last a year or longer. Under normal daily driving conditions, you should get at least 4 to 6 months (or more) worth of protection, so I'd say it would last for a long time since there will be very few factors contributing to it's deterioration.

Bryan (gmblack3a) and I corrected this beast last May. The client solely uses it for about 3 cross country trips a year, and it sits in his garage the rest of the time. Currently has 17k miles on it.

Last May, it was 99.9999% perfect after the detail. Well, in November, he drove it to Colorado (from NC) and back, and then to New Mexico and back. It was covered in salt, and sat in his garage until today.

When he arrived, I was amazed that is was grey, instead of black, and the interior had a ton of dog hair. Well, I washed it, and there was a ton of salt etching on the truck, that appeared similar to water spots. I did a 2 bucket wash, cleaned the undercarriage, wheels, wheel wells, and engine bay. I then pulled it in my garage, and did a full interior...vacuum, and vacuum, then Meg's Quik Interior Detailer wipe down, then Zaino Leather Care on the seats. I also cleaned all the glass.

The client originally just wanted a wash and wax. However, after seeing the spots, he said he wouldn't be happy until they were gone. So, we did some test spots, and found that Meg's 205, with an orange pad, and the G110v2, and the KBM. Since I hadn't orginally budgeted enough time today for a correction, he quickly volunteered to do a few panels with my spare buffer. After a couple of lessons, he was polishing like a pro, and his panels turned out GREAT.

Oh well, here are the afters....we were so pinched for time, that I only took afters. We didn't dress the tires, because he had a 20 mile commute home, and said he would do them when he got home to avoid any possible sling.

He requested I apply Collinite 845, instead of his regular Zaino, but we did do a Z8 wipedown at the end...

Holy cow, you weren't kidding! That thing is HUGE!!!:scared::scared::scared:
It looks great though. Amazing reflections off that 12ft long hood.:thumbup:
