BMW 335 for a gentleman from San Francisco!
Yep, that’s right, this car was brought down from San Fransisco for me to perform my work on it. That’s a pretty cool feeling to know someone is waiting to have their car detailed until they are in my area from 8 hours away! We are now going to be on a “hey I am in the area, can you get my car done in the next couple of days” maintenance program in order to keep this car in the condition it is in now!
Process:
Washed with chemical guys wash and clear
Clayed with Detailed Image fine clay and ONR lube
Sonax Full effect on the wheels with ez detail brush
Taped with Meguiars masking tape
Compounded with M105 and orange pad via Griots DA
Polished with Menzerna 203 and white pad via Griots DA
Paint cleaned and sealed with Chemical guys Blacklight and black pad via Griots DA
Interior vacuumed and wiped down
Meguiars last touch QD at the very end prior to pick up to help with the dust falling on the car, but it didn’t help much, it was kind of windy out.
Optimum metal polish on the exhaust tips
Meguiars glass cleaner
Overall, HUGE improvement and impressive results for the “simple” two step process…not bad considering we originally scheduled a one step. I wasn’t happy with what I saw as a result from a one step, so I had to two step it; it’s the OCD in me!
Befores: swirls, deep scratches, holograms from improper rotary use…you know, the typical car I get! The clear bra on the front end was pretty dull as well, but cleaned up nicely.
Afters: - cloudy, but you can see in some of the pics the correction was in the 95% range with just some RIDS left over – no swirls, just glossy paint!
Owner is now driving a much cleaner, wetter, glossier car!!!
