Engine Kote

Maybe its me, but has anyone noticed a funky smell (i.e. reminds me of superglue) when driving a vehicle after having applied engine kote? Aside for a terry towel, I didn't have anything else that I know of inside the engine bay, thus I'm pretty sure nothing was left behind when dropping the hood.

I haven't used Engine Kote, but in response to your query I did this search and came up with several threads where folks comment on the smell of EK. You might want to look at those, and let us know if your experience is different.

WHERE DOES ONE FIND ENGINE KOTE!??! I have searched high and low....okey, maybe not, but I have had an eye out for it...

Take your pick of vendors. I went to Google, keyed in "meguiar + engine + kote" and got these results:

http://www.properautocare.com/meenko.html

http://www.autogeek.net/medeenko.html

http://www.superiorcarcare.net/medeenko.html

http://www.dealergoodies.com/page293.html

and some others I didn't immediately recognize. You may want to price-compare.

Strangely enough, despite trying various keywords, I could NOT find this product on Meguiars' own site! :wall (Alert to Megs web-gurus!!!) But you may want to go to their Dealer Locator page and then call your local dealers. Even in my podunk one-horse town, my local auto-supply shop is willing to special-order Meguiar's products that he doesn't regularly stock.

got mine at ketone.com, also got apc+ and dacp from there all in one order . I thought their prices were reasonable.

Maybe Elmer's glue, but not superglue. Superglue smells like solventy death. Elmer's just smells odd.

Also, I don't smell it in the car... Maybe you sprayed a bunch into the vent duct by mistake?
