Engine Dressing Question

Hello Everyone,

I would like to see if there is a dry engine detailing dressing you use. When I detail engines, I dress them with Stoners More Shine. The comes out very nice but, in a short amount of time, it collects debris on it.

Please let me know!!
 
You might want to try a water based dressing. Something like Poorboy's Bold & Bright or Adam's VRT or something along those lines.
 
Try using a paper towel after you apply it to wipe of any excess.

I use Car-Brite Sheen it is chemical based and is much more durable than water base and after wiping it does well other than the wheel wells can't keep then clean without constant cleaning.

I concur you might want to wipe the larger areas up after the application.


More shine is also a tire dressing, you might want to which to trim shine by Stoners
 
I use the car brite on my fender wells nothing gets exposed to more dirt than they do.
The Car-Brite Sheen holds up very well here is a photo of what it looks like on my inner fenders.

"Sheen" has either been discontinued or it is so new that is hasn't made it to Car Brite's marketing material. If it is the former situation I'm not sure about how informational any discussion can be. If it is the latter, perhaps mfg information will be coming soon.

I bought 3 gallons 2 years ago and when I saw it was not listed on their web site I ask about it and was told that it was still available.

The Super Kote is nearly the same thing just as durable but a little less gloss.

I used Super Kote for a couple years before I tried the Sheen.

I used the Stoners on my clients FJ's engine. I'm starting to stay with the Stoners product. I always wipe down everything after the whole detail work is done and there never are any problems.
 
Megs Hyper Dressing diluted at different ratios.

Depending on what the customer wants is how I go at it.

If not finish I'll spray 10:1 or 6:1 and just give it a nice buff/wipe with a microfibre after I spray it and let it sit for 15 minutes.
