End Of The Season For Me!

Just One More Coat
Its about the time of the year that my detailing biz starts to fall off, just as well for me, I did well over the amount of cars and bikes this year than many of my previous years.

I have a few things lined up in the coming month, but after that I will not look for any more biz as the weather turns to rain and temps drop.

I have say this was one of the best seasons I've had in years, I really put myself out there to see what I could drum up.

Rain? Seriously, you're complaining about rain and colder temps in the what, 50s and 60s?

Let's trade.... you come to Michigan and find out what REAL cold temps and inclement weather (snow) are, and I'll head out to CA and detail like a fool, loving every minute of it!

all you need is a shop and you can keep it going :rockon

Nope the down time is needed / required for me. That's when I start to practice my culinary skills

I'm not complaining about the rain or the temps. Once the rain starts in this part of the state, my customers stop calling..When the temps drop I don't really care of be out there with numb fingers and feet.

There is no enjoyment in that for me.:D

Since I don't support my family detailing I can take the winter off:D

:roflI agree.........that nice weather.....Kentucky it gets very cold, but 50's and 60's that's perfect weather to me.......

being a weekend detailer here in PA, its getting close to quiting my hobby for the winter. no heated garage, so all my stuff has to come inside when its starts getting below 32. have two coats of DP POIL SEAL on the vehicle, so i hope that helps with winter coming. :(

Gotta love Florida. I wish I could mix in some 60 degree days. We are still having days approaching the 90's. My business is slowing down but will pick back up before Christmas as everyone gets their cars in shape before family comes to town or they had out of town. After Christmas starts all the details I sell via gift cards for the holidays so I'm hoping to stay busy.

Do you guys up north advertise gift cards for the holidays? Its really an easy selling point for parents to give to their children, spouse to spouse, etc. This could keep some business going for you.
