I always wear mine, had a accident in 78 and turn my ride over 6 time's and it had no seat belt. Learn the hard way that night.

thanks guys, accidents usually happen so quickly, there's no time to think about much anything. i was disabled by a drunk driver and my son was nearly killed by a drunk driver. we both had seat belts on and i believe it's the only reason we're still here. not a 100% guarantee you won't get hurt, but it beats the alternative.

This Mitsubishi hit my 4600lb Land Rover last year in a 35mph zone. It picked it up and threw it 70ft and spun it 180 degrees. My legs sheared the steering column off the firewall and ribs broke the console off the floor. Engine was sitting on the drivers side wheel and firewall. Seatbelts definitely. I was lucky and was not wearing one. Still feeling it. Had stopped on the way and forgot. Witness said truck went 3ft in the air. Guy was seriously speeding through light.
My wife was 8 months pregnant and it was the only time on a weekend she was not in the vehicle. I could have orphaned my son to be had i been in our Jetta. Wear your seatbelt.
