Emblem Removal Gone Wrong

A customer dropped by for a quick job today. I was rather scared when I saw the pictures the night before, but I thought I'd give it a shot.



He tried to remove emblems and decals and went a little over board with the rubbing.



Herers what it looked like:

After a little polishing with a 5 inch 3M cutting pad:

Looks brand new. I have it for a full exterior in a week. :)
 
I hope you're doing an interior detail too, the dash in that first pic looks N-A-S-T-Y.



I wish I could see the afters, Websense is blocking your hosting site. :(
 
Here you show off your great results but don't say what you used with the 3M cutting pad! :p



What was the process?

Oh, that was just to get him by, so I only used Poorboys SSR2.5. Not much hazing, and what ever hazing there was, will be gone within the next week. :)

Buick_guy1, outstanding job. When I looked at the first picture I thought, no way you would be able to recover from that mess.



Do you know if the paint job is "clear over base"? ie. clear coated.

Its a 2002 S10, so I'm sure it is. Plus, no paint transfer onto my pads.
