Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Saw a post about this on every forum I visit, except this one. So why not.

Who is getting this game and on what system?

Got the PC version from Steam last night. (Thanks to a little trick with vpn, Steam though I was in Germany so I got to play it at 6:00 pm last night.) :whoo:

So far, have to say I am impressed. Game looks very pretty and was able to play it on Ultra high settings with a nice fps. Managed to get about 4 hours into the game. Seemed like a blink of the eye. Killed my first Dragon before I called it a night.

Was so tempting to stay up all night and call in sick, but Tunch would of killed me.

Anyway, the weekend is a few hours away and will be plenty of time to get immersed.

Game of the Year as far as I can tell. Forget COD4 or Battlefield 3. :second:

I've got it on the PC and have logged probably 30+ hours already. I loved fallout and had a little trouble getting into this Genre, but the familiarity of the gameplay hooked me. Lots and lots of fun.

Its got an addictive quality to it. Once you start playing, its hard to turn it off. Hours seem to pass by in minutes. I wont put how many hours I have logged for fear of being accuse of being addicted. :becky:

PC is the way to go! Better graphics and lots of great mods that will be coming out soon. It will continue the experience once you tire of the core game itself. The Elder Scrolls games have always had the best community support for any game I have seen. :typing:

I'll have a gamer nerd moment here...

Skyrim's amazing. I've been too caught

up in the thieves and assassins missions

to even start playing the story line yet.

Agreed. I still have yet to buy a console because I just love the options the PC provide in controls, gameplay, tweaks, etc. It's also more fun. I'm a tinkerer by nature and wouldn't be happy with just buying a console and leaving it as is. I had to have something I could sink 3 grand into building from the ground up.

I have bought it played it for 2 hours , said Oh Wow! then turned it off,lol hard to get my mind wrapped around games lately. But mind you I always read the mags and buy the top ones. I will try hard to be a more avid gamer as Knights of the Old Republic is coming out and as a Star Wars fan I must play, lol.
