I bought a bottle and although its expensive, I must say this thing works wonders. The Germans are geniouses I tell you.

I sprayed it on my trim that has gone white through years of neglect and it bought them back to factory spec. The trim is actually gray and the product makes it gray unlike many other products which turns it black and then once it dries off, turns white again. So far, I've used the 1z protectant for 4 days and its still keeping the trim nice and healthy looking!

If the protection lasts, this gets a thumbs up from me. :10:

I've used far too many OTC products which makes the trim blacker for about a day and then it reverts back to its original pre-application looks. I never thought I would find something that works this well. I'm floored.

Sorry haven't used any other boutique trim restorers so I can't comment on how they perform. I can tell you that its better than anything OTC though as I've pretty much tried them all.

Edit: I was reading budman's thread on PB trim restorer and 1z acts a bit differently. First of all, I don't know if its from the lighting but PB's seems very shiny and greasy but 1z has a very matte look. But than again, I didn't apply anywhere near as much product. My trim was actually in worse condition than the fenders shown in that thread. PB seems to blacken the plastic whereas 1z takes what is there and makes it "sharper". Anyways this is my experience with one car so YMMV.

Product is 10% process is 90% applicatrion in most all cases.....I've not used the z1 product but have used PB TR for years...if you are buffing the rubber or area that you are applying TR to you can make it a matted finish

I have found that most trim type dressings and or restorers tend to have a glossy appearance unless after you let it soak in for a bit you buff the rest out. And like others have said it leaves a nice matte finish. I use TR all the time and have never found it greasy looking or to glossy, but like I said I buff it out.

Funny you would use this product as an exterior trim dressing. Here in Europe E1 is one of the few very good detailing products we have and we use it mostly as an interior dressing. Very good indeed and with a mate apearance as described. E1 has 2 terrific products for exterior trim: E1 Kunststoff and the newer Vinyl gel wich have awesome durablity.
