Thought it would never happen to me, but it did!

looks like marks were left from impact..



to make sure i get all this stuff off.. i clayed.. and scrubbed hard.. and plan to follow with some dawn dish soap on the infected area's just to make sure i get all those acids in the egg wiped away.



Do you think if i clay, and do some dawn dish soap .. i should be good? i dont have a rotary buffer anymore.. or any buffer period..



i plan to follow with 2x z5 and a clear seal.

I think the bigger problem that you have is hunting down the sick SOB that did this and punishing him severely.



I would recommend setting his face on fire and putting it out with a hammer.
 
sorry to hear about that. the jealousy of some because they don't have nice things and they have to take it out on others who do. this angers me quite a bit and i don't want to even think what i would do if i caught them in the act doing this...

where was the car when this happened?

if someone egged my s2k and i caught them..... it'd get real real ugly..
 
There was a college kid running around spray painting peoples cars. Looks like some body got caught they found him laying in middle of road about 3 blocks from here. some body beat him half to death and he still was holding paint can.:bat
 
I feel your pain. My car got nailed by 3 eggs while I was helping my brother out by watching his little guy so he and the wifey could get out for a few hours. I was parked in front of his house in a nice neighborhood for maybe 3-4 hours tops.



I had the same damage you got, but luckily only at one of the impact sites. Still pisses me off because I would have literally flawless paint without it... oh well.

Just went though that, your damage looks similiar to mine. Had to have a bodyshop respray the panel.
 
I feel you man. I live in NYC and I am parked off street everyday. Everytime I leave my car, I worry. Hope all those @#$@ get run over by cars when they leave the scene of the crime.
 
We park two cars on our driveway. I'm always worried about the neighborhood hooligans doing something to them. Thankfully nothing has happened. If I ever caught someone vandalizing my car I'd probably end up in jail.
 
when I was in highschool someone would egg like all the cars on are street including my dads truck and the idiots did it in a pattern, we figured out when they were gonna come next so me and my cousins staked out in are front yard haha lived on a dead end street we blocked them in with two cars(knew they didnt have balls too go through it) there bumpers needed to be replaced we called the cops and they paid for all the damages to the cars hahaha, stupid college guys I was

6'4" 220 so I was bigger then them dont worry
 
The bad news is that the damage is probably from the egg shell breaking and chipping the paint. Get some touch up from paintscratch.com if that's the case.



I honestly think that if people knew it was almost as bad as throwing a rock at a car it would happen a lot less. I think the perception is that it's just a harmless prank....which it's not.
 
I feel your pain man! I used to have a 91 F150 that I kept clean religously. Coming home from college one night, I found 4 eggs on my paint. Never found the MFers who did it but I had to touch up paint my drivers door and some the bed. I turn into an animal pretty much when I full blown po'd
 
Had it happen to me last year as well well parked outside someones house. It was the middle of january so all the egg froze and I went straight to rinse it off. The chips they created will be with the car until the day I sell it. Thats the way it goes sometimes though as angry as it makes us.
 
I'm looking at a gold 2005 Infinity G35. There are several blemishes in the paint that MIGHT be egg damage. I can't post pics yet (new member) but my signature is a picture of one of the spots.

Does this look like your damage? If there is no hope for repair by wet sanding or clay bar etc. I'll have to let the car pass. I don't see any discoloration, it just looks like spider cracks in the clear coat roughly the size and shape of an egg.



Anybody have suggestions?

Same thing happened to me, only it happened while I was driving home. The vehicle in the opposing lane tossed an egg and it nailed my driverside fender. It was very late and I thought some road debris just had gone under the car, but I did see someone hanging out of the truck that was passing me... I didn't notice it until the next morning about 6 hours later, really bad scarring on the paint from the shell and it took forever to get the egg gunk off. I'll probably need to respray the fender one of these days.
