Effective Plastic Polish 1-2 Punch!

SilverLexus

Super Enthusiast
Well good ole Bret my detailing guru swung around close to my car yesterday and scratched my right rear tailight with his super-tough Nextel phone and left a medium scratch. Lawsuits were filed. :D

Today I head down to the garage to try our two plastic polishes I have had good results with Zaino Z-14 and Meguiars PlastX. PlastX has a light micro-abrasive and Z-14 I think really minimizes the scratch but has no abrasive. Here are the results...

Process:

**Applied and buffed off each product with small DF Towel

**Applied Z-14 at first, got much of the scratch but not the deepest cut

**Applied PlastX, got the big scratch out, left a small amount of haze

**Applied Z-14 again for shine

**Good as new. :)

After PlastX and another round of Z-14...Where did it go? :)

Lawsuits are dropped in light of good results and free APC samples after "accident". :woohoo:

I'd still sue for damage like that. It's got to be good for some pain and suffering or something...

Good idea...Bret at least owes me a beer or steak at Longhorn. :)

I just realized the Z-14 does have fine abrasives. Man, I gotta read the label more carefully.

Maybe haze is a bit strong, but it wasn't very clear until the Z-14 was applied. It seems like the the Z-14 acted as a polish and LSP on plastic.
