I thought that's what you were trying to get across...:)

Thanks. I guess I wasn't clear enough for everyone. Dunno However, you did say it in a more concise manner, thanks.

And for the record, it is HE.

Maybe it should've been Mr. Dailyshine. :)

I have a bad habit of assuming someone is a guy when I am talking to them on here. I know that ticks off some women so I am trying stop assuming.

It just struck me funny. Im not a newb and i use only the optimum line with my rotary. The way you stated it is it is meant for newbs, that just isnt true. You will probably end up not liking it if you use it with a DA machine. The break down time is insanely long with a rotary, i couldnt imagine using it with a DA. You would be polishing a fender for days :lol

Personally, I disagree with that statement. I have used Optimum Compound on numerous occasions with my PC and have seen very good results without spending an excessive amount of time in one spot.

In fact, it's my go to product for swirl/oxidation removal. :2thumbs:

Maximal - just read trough the posts in C&B and you'll start to get an understanding of what you want to try. When I first got going, I bought A LOT of products that I really didn't need. Find what works for you in a certain situation and go with it. When other situations arise that require more/other products, try them and see if you want to continue using them......my .02 cents...hope it helps.

I'm still learning and from the little experience that I have, Poorboy's SSR line dust alot. I'm starting to find that 4 Star's Body Shop's polishes and compounds are my go to products for paint correcting. It has good work time (not as long as Optimum's) and low dusting.

I started off by reading here and at autogeek. Checked out the click n' brags on both sites, read all the product descriptions on autogeek's online store, and started ordering a bunch of stuff. I think you will just have to pick a line of polishes/compounds and go for it. Then you will learn what you like and don't like.
