Edge WW Pads

I'm gonna place an order for the edge pads.

For those who are familiar with the Edge 2000 6" pads,
and have also used the new WW 6" pads have you formed any opinions one way or the other ?

I too would like a little insight on these pads. I love my regular 2000 pads but have yet to try the waffle pads. I'm interested in comments from anyone who has tried both.

I couldn't log on all morning otherwise I would have answered.. I like my waffle pads and although it may seem to have less contact there is more. The product tends to stay where you put it in the pad. and you can control them more.

No doubt your qualifed to vouch for the pads, but it seems like there is not enough in circulation to get enough pros and cons on the new waffle pads..

I saw Patrick's picture in another thread but it looks like the new Waffle pads are more likely to tear more because of the different surface area? Is that something that we should worry about? These pads seem like they'll be great as long as we can keep them off of badging and from tearing.

Yep, i noticed this as well,Or could it be that patrick is a detailing animal. All kidding aside the pad condition concerns me as the waffle pads are new, looks like the design of the pad may be better used on flat panels.

naw that car was a race car with tons of rivits and stuff sticking out.. pannels where not lined right and there was edges all over that were sharp
(that wing) i would have torn though any pad.. but the waffle took the hit..

in all our testing The Edge2000 Wave waffle pads are just as durable as flat pads. That said if you hit sharp edges and trim you may tear off parts of bumps rather than chunks from the pad giving an appearance that the bumps wear faster. In reality they lasted just as long as our flat pads but gave the advantages of smoother buffing, cooler buffing, and less splatter. Did you have the same results Patrick, or others?
