Well, its not quite ready to launch yet but lets just say we have several new patents pending now on a circular wash mitt made from our high strength foam ( made to withstand high speed buffing) in our Edge design so it has edges to reach every crack and corner of the car, it holds your hand like a glove not a wet bag like the wool style wash mitts, it does not hold any dirt, in fact the dirt and debris just wash off the mitt, its in our waffle texture so the dirt is knocked off by the tips and drains out the channels, it is double sided and can have a bug scrubber foam on the back, it does not leave wool chunks in the door handles or letters, it does not trap and capture all the dirt entanlged in the wool fibres, it holds more suds than any wool mitt, its lighter weight even when saturated, it uses our softest white foam for washing that will never scratch the surface and because its foam it is always cushioning, and it never changes texture even after repeated use unlike the wool miit, I could go on and on but I think you get the point. Our Mitts the Shmitt!

How is this different from a common foam-type sponge? How can dirt from the car migrate away from your mitt's surface without scratching paint since a foam sponge doesn't have any nap?

first of all, the surface of this mitt is convoluted waffle, like egg crate foam. This surface of alternating bumps and valleys is much better than fiberous nap that traps dirt and debris and keeps it entangled in the mitt which then causes scratches. With this very soft compressable foam the tips or bumps knock off the dirt which then is pushed into the channels of valleys where is is able to drain out of the pad. The wool and fiber wash mitts act like you hair. When its dry it has pile and body, but when wet it will lay down and all that dirt and debris that you have been told goes into the nap is now actually at the surface and can scratch the car. Look at your wool mitt and watch it change texture each time you use it. The hairs actually will wind up over time and PILL like a wool sweater. Our faom mitt never changes texture and never holds the dirt. Also the common foam sponge is a square or bone shape that you have to hold the whole time you wash the car. That is uncomfortable, and tiresome. The foam sponge also is bulky and square shaped. Our mitt fits onto your hand like a glove and will not fall off, it also has edges to get into every corner and groove. This is in no way compatable to any product especially just a regular foam sponge.
