Edge PC Pads

Hi guys,

I currently have the Sonus pad set and need to order some new pads. Before I invest more money in â€ËœVelcroâ€â„¢ pads I was wondering about switching to the â€ËœEdgeâ€â„¢ pad system :

http://www.superiorcarcare.net/6-inch-edge2000-pads.html

A search revealed that people that have tried these seem to like them a lot, but I have some more questions :

· How secure are they when located on the adapter ?

· What counter weight suits them best ?

· How do they hold up against high PC speeds ?

· Are the radius edges perfectly concentric ?

· How do the grades / colours compare to the Sonus pads i.e. is the hardest â€Ëœyellowâ€â„¢ pad more aggressive than the Sonus orange ?

· What eventually causes these pads to fail as the separating Velcro issue is eliminated. Does the foam simply wear out ?

I know they are a bit more expensive then a Velcro pad but if the benefits are genuine and they last well it would be a good move for me. My logic :

· Only downside = Bit more expensive (per pad) + one off adapter cost.

· But they should last twice as long (double sided).

· Then last a bit longer (no Velcro failure).

· Leading to less orders and shipping costs to the UK.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

I'll try to answer a few of your questions.

I relate how the pads fit to the adapter to how a socket fits on to a ratchet. The pad is a positive lock on to the adapter, they aren't coming apart .

Never tried any other CW, I use the 6'" , its the nature of the PC to vibrate.

I dont run my PC past 5 so I can't answer how they would hold up at 6 .

Edge black pads are the most aggressive out there.

Good luck :xyxthumbs

the new pads use a heat resistant adhesive. Works just fine on speed 6

The pads are double sided, so they are actually cheaper.

Edge feel that their pads are better then any other out there.

Contacting the company would be useful to you & the owner is a very professional guy. He will help you any way he can.

Good luck!
