Edge Pads w/Quick Change System

tthey are excellent. You'll love them. You can but just as much pressure on them as normal pads. I actually find them a bit denser than most foam pads. I think mine will last a very long time. You dont have to worry about velcro coming off; not to mention theyre double sided

these are great and really allow you to do a lot with the pads I keep mine in with my PC and rotary being they are two pads in one. and I use the 6 inch on the rotary also.. so I need to carry 3 pads with me talk about a space saver..

I've used them on and off for about a year. I do like the fact that they are double sided, can use on a PC and rotary, you can order combos (polish pad one side, finish pad the other, etc...). I like them better on the rotary because your pad is always centered.

A few con's....
-You have to buy an adapter for your rotary and PC, which will add to the cost.
-On the PC you will need the counterweight to reduce (but not remove) vibration.
-For me, there is too much of a vibration on the PC.
-The 'feel' takes some time to get used to because the pad being double sided is much thicker. You'll find that tight spots (near mirrors for example) that you could access with a single sided conventional pad are a bit more challenging to get to.
-I don't like the results (that I get) as well as some other pad choices on the market.

Don't you have buy a backing plate to use with any other pad ? Don't those backing plates wearout over time ? I doubt that adapter will wearout.

The counter weight comes with the PC , at least it came with mine .

The nature of the PC is to vibrate , there's nothing you can do about it . Thats just how the machine operates.

If you do a search here you'll see the Edge 2000 pad system are some of the DC's most recommanded pads . Good Luck and Happy Detailing

The Edge pads are without a doubt much denser than the single sided pads. It made me un-easy at first, but they perform quite well. I do like the overall feel of them, but my favorite is still the single sided velcro. As mentioned before, pro's and con's weighing in, they are a great pad!

Like the single velcro designs, as they allow to use the true feel of the PC. E2k system just has too much vibration and is bulky to use. What I dislike overall of the Edges are cleaning properties, extremely hard if you leave them once, and that some of my single velcro's are starting to deteriorate. However they've lasted well for 2 years!

Thanks for the feedback. I forgot about the getting into tight spaces issue. Anything bigger then the regular pad wouldn't fit into a few places on my vehicle.

You might be surprised how these pads fit into tight places . One good thing about the edge pads is you can use the Edge not to mention the top of the pad.

Scorpion you can see the pads in action here > http://edgepads.com/video.htm

I don't notice anymore vibrating with the double pads verses the single pads , one thing I do notice to help this problem is take the handle off and hold the PC by the head . I think you'll notice a difference by doing this .
