Edge Bufing Pads

Today i pulled out an edge yellow buffing pad and it did not fit my 6 in backing plate on my DW 849. i have been using a green pad which fit just fine. these pads are suppose to be the same size right? when i held them up together you can tell the yellow pad is smaller. anyone had this problem before?

Thanks gentletouch, i was going back to the place i got them from to see if they will trade it out first but if that does not work i will call Aaron. thanks again.
