Edge 8" pads - use with PC?

Too big for a random orbital buffer with the h.p. that the PC has. Hard on the machine and less effective on the finish.

I am using 7.5" pads with my PC and everything seems to be working fine- in the paint and machine department. Get a larger counter weight and you should be fine. The bearings in the machine may fail sooner than with smaller pads though. I really like using big pads

Just out of curiousity . . . were you using 6" pads beforehand? If so do you find it takes less time to detail a car using the larger pads?
I used some of my friend's 7.5" pads on his PC once. It didn't really seem to hamper the machine too much, but I found I was having to use speed 6 instead of 5 to get the job done.

I did use 6 inch pads until the velcro backing began to fail and then switched to 7.5" LC pads. I do think it takes less time to do a car with the larger pads. I like them and they work for me so I'm happy. When using any polish, I am usually working it in on speed 6. Anything below that with my setup doesn't seem to work as effectively.

The 7.5" Lake Country pads work fine on a PC with a 6" backing plate and counterweight. The larger Edge2000 pads seem to result in a great deal more vibration. I would caution against using the rotary sized E2K pads on a PC.
