Edge 3k uneven rotation/wobble issue

After closer inspection, the adapter is not the source of the wobble but the rotary itself. I put my finger nail on the flat area marked in the pic below and slowly turned the Makita on the lowest RPM possible. I saw and felt the unevenness.

Has anyone had a problem like this before? I bought this new from Coastal Tool and sent them an email but am waiting for a response. According to Makita, my closest "Factory Service Center" is about a 45 min drive away...

Dang, I wonder if you have a bad bearing? I could hear the problem in the video better than I could see it, and it definitely doesn't sound right.

Now that you mention it, *my* Makita seemed to be out-of-kilter the last time I used it too  I gotta check into it...funny, as most people use 'em forever with no problems at all.

I've got a pretty good wobble on my Metabo with an edge adapter and wool pads. No problem with their foam counterparts though.

Mike at Coastal is going to get me a replacement. :up When using the Makita with the Edge foam or wool I could see the whole machine vibrate just a bit, but I felt it more with Edge wool. I have *never* read any problems here concerning Makita rotaries so this kind of surprises me.

Maybe I was noticing the wobble more with the Edge adapter than my W66 backplate because the Edge adapter, and the pad being used, is further away from the wobbling piece.
