Edge 2000 users, if you could buy only 3 pads...

Dave, I have a local distributor (found at a recent car show in town) that stocks Edge pads, I know we've discussed Auto Magic pads and they are made by Edge - so my question to you is - the three pads, yellow wool, yellow foam and blue foam, would they be the same on Edge products? I'm assuming yes...and I'm looking for 8" pads for my rotary, I have enough PC pads to last 20 years!

Yes, their the same thing, just Auto Magic labels theirs. You and me both have pads to past us a long time. I guess it's not a bad thing?

Well, detailed a boat Saturday and used a 8", white foam pad that had like little fingers of foam sticking out of it. It was weird but worked great buffing out the gel coat product I was using. First time with a wide pad on the rotary, now I know I'll never go back to the 6.5" ones. Guess I'll be getting the Edge pads as soon as I can.

I just purchased the 8" Edge 2000 yellow, green, blue and white foam and will be using them on the Makita hopefully this week...

Maybe this will help : This is from the EDGE web site. These are the Edge 2000 Pad

Descriptions. The color in quotes was input by me.

CAUTION: You will find some web sites/dealers that have transposed the descriptions relative to the colors. That is where (my opinon) that a lot of confusion is coming from.

Thats not the only area of confusion, but one of the big ones.
