Easiest and toughest polishes to remove?

Would anyone mind composing a list of polishes in two categories? One w/ polishes that are easy to remove and one w/ polishes that are difficult to remove. I've been having a tough time lately getting all the residue off the vehicle. Seems like I may even add some light marring trying to get it all off. Any tips you may have would be nice as well. Thanks!

The only time Ive ever had trouble removing a polish is when I wasn't fully breaking it down.

Even then if it hasn't broken down enough, IPA should do the trick without introducing marring.

Maybe a little off topic ... but I find the biggest reason a polish is hard to remove is if I didn't work it long enough to fully break it down.

Yeah, or if it was applied on hot paint.

I find that heavy compounds are usually no fun to wipe off - anything heavier than a 1500 grit leveler or so is going to be a pain. Menzerna PowerGloss is particularly terrible. I usually end up washing the car again if I need that much correction.

I've experienced the same as well with PG.

IMO, I think any polish would be a little difficult to remove if you leave it on the paint too long, especially out in the sun.

I've had trouble buffing off the residue from Griot's Machine Polishes and also Malm's polish (forget what they call it, it's their "regular"/green one).

1Z stuff buffs off about as easily as anything possibly could, no matter how long you do/don't work it.
