Easier Bug Removal-What to use?

My dad has a black 06 GXP Grand Prix that he drives back and forth to work each way, the drive is over an hour one way. He was asking me the other day if I can put something on the front end and the side mirrors to make bug removal easier for him whenever he washes the car.



I applied two coats of zaino+some P21S just to add a lil more depth to the already beaten up front bumper. What works even better, or should I just keep applying Zaino on it?

Sealant is about it.



Don't listen to some wise tails about using Kitchen Non-stick spray like Pam. Once it's baked on, have fun getting it off! I know some who use it at night on a long drive and stop by the coin-op near home and pressure rinse it off but I wouldn't even do that.
 
I just got a gallon of PB Bug Squash.



Although the two vehicles in the drive way were not that badly covered in bugs, the ones that met an untimely death on the front of the vehicle came right off with this product. I had been using Meg's Body Solvent before this latest purchase and it could clean worth a darn, even after letting it sit for a bit.

I sealed and waxed my tahoe with optimum. I read somewhere to just spray with glass cleaner (I used stoner) let it work in a few seconds and wipe with a microfiber. I did this about 2 weeks ago and worked great. The poop basically floated off the truck.
 
i'm a fan of Tarminator(by Stoner). Great stuff and its available over the counter.



if he is that concerned, you may want to talk him into getting a clear bra.

I think that the bumper will need repainting in the very near future to be honest with you. I polished it last year, and to bring any respectable shine out of it is long gone :S
 
Poorboy bug squash and then keep a good sealant on the car topped with a high quality nuba wax is how I keep them off my stangs.
 
I think a carnauba like 845, 476 or #16 works a whole lot better than a sealant. Nothing really seems to bond with the carnauba, but some bugs stick with a sealant. As far as getting them off, for really baked on bugs, I like using a wet beach towel and leaving it on the front of the car for a while to soften the mess first. If that doesn't work, I use tarminator, but I try to avoid it.

keep in mind that Tarminator, Poorboy bug squash, and pretty much any other bug remover will also remove most waxes and sealants.





I'd get it clean and go over it with some Collinite and wash it often. It's when they bake on there for days that they become hard to remove.
 
I have used bug remover before and megs detail spray. And the detail spray lubricated it enough to remove it without sacrificing the wax for me, so I just use it instead depending on severity
