Eagle Pooped On Me: Did I Do the lesser of two evils?

On my drive to work, I had a very large bird, or perhaps a flock of synchronized poopers, soil the entire front of my car. I'm guessing there was about 4 oz of poop splattered across my hood and windsheild.



The windsheild got the wiper washer fluid treatment at 70 mph, just for safety reasons.



Once I finally arrived at work, with no MF or any other detailing supplies in the car, and after some thought, I decided that I'd rather hose the hood down and just blast the bird crap off and deal with the possible water spots later.



I didn't see any other choice short of taking off work to either go buy some products to qd it off, or go home, and both of those would be approximately 1 hr.

I think hosing it off was the right decision. If the hood ends up with water spots, you could treat it when you get home tonight.



The bird poop is probably more acidic and damaging to leave on the car.



The best thing is to store some QD and MF towels in the vehicle for future use.

Waterspots are seldom gonna cause permanent damage, which can't be said for bird bombs.

Good move. Rinsing the evil stuff off will do more good than harm by far.

Well, the weather was agreeing with me this afternoon so I was able to wash it pleasantly, rather than wash it hellishly.

Here is the king of the water spots.

I obviously didn't blast all the eagle poop off this morning. There were about 8 to 10 of these on the hood and maybe that many, but more densely packed, on the windsheild.

After a wash and dry.

Decided to Z6 a little before I broke out the vinegar and, hey, Z6 took care of most of it. I QDed more and got it all off, but didn't take a picture up close after.

All glory to the Z6 which reigneth forever and ever!

One time in Italy I borrowed a friends car to go intoi town. I was overjoyed when I found a great parking place. When I got back to the car I discovered why it was free, a bacony overhead was home to a gazillion pigeons. Oh what a mess! Try to picture the fact that when i pulled the car out a nice rectangular space was surrounded by Italian pigeon poop! I sure wish I had a camera handy then to snap a shot of the "Parking spot from hell."
