Eagle One A2Z Wheel Cleaner

I picked up this product last weekend, and managed to use it on my mom's 3 year old car clear coated alloy wheel. Usually I don't use any wheel cleaner to wash the rim, but only use regular car shampoo (CarPlan Triple Wax). Today I tried it on the wheels, and following the instruction, I rinsed it off within 30 seconds. I could see the brake dust dissolves in seconds! After rinsing, I use a piece of sponge to apply regular car shampoo on both inner and outer side of the rims. One thing which impressed me is that the inner part of the rims turn out to be as clean as outside after slight agitation! I doubt any previous layer of wax will remain on the wheels.

This product gives me the impression that it is very strong, but yet gentle on the wheel PROVIDED you use it on COOL surface and doesn't let it AIR DRY. I recommend users to use it once every few months, before they want to reapply wax on their rims.

It's a great product. Not fun to use though on a windy day. Make sure you have eye protection.

Eye protection? If you need eye protection you should really not be spraying that close to the wheel.

*Windy* day. You don't have to be that close to the wheel to accidentally inhale A2Z or get some in your eyes. Great product but harshly basic chemical makeup.

Interesting. I have used this product in all kinds of weather conditions and I have never inhaled it nor gotten in my eyes. Interesting...

Then use the product any way you'd like, but don't knock down safety tips for fellow autopians.

If the wheels are dirty enough to warrant A2Z (i usually use a wash mit and car soap), like NHBFAN, I like to use it with a wheel brush. For this, you need to get within arms length and the brush can fling the stuff at you, not to mention the vapors.

It's pretty strong stuff and I don't like to use it often or let it linger. But it works very well.

AHHH....toughen up you big babies!! There's no crying in detailing!! :nono

:p :D

Seriously, A2Z is a great wheel & tire cleaner. Yes, it is pretty strong and should only be used when necessary, and you should take common sense precautions when using it.....just not over dramatic precautions (full body chemical suit, gas mask, triple layered gloves, etc.).:D :up

It should be used with caution. It is very strong AND very effective AND available locally. :up

I love A2Z. This was another stellar recommendation by Steve & friends at the Guru Reports. I have now begun to convert my brothers and friends.
