Dwg

I think this is why we spend some much on detail supplies, cause we all always want the best stuff.

True. Im just not detailing on the side for clients as much as I used to (new locale) and therefore cant use up these new products as easily, nor can I disperse the cost across a number of client details.

DWG is on par with Wet mirror shine glaze and RMG. It last longer because it has a acrylic component to it. Rmg is hard to beat for short term glaze IMHO.

Thanks for the info. I agree RMG is hard to beat, but it takes one light rain (or enough wind :chuckle: ) and its already gone.

As for the guy asking about RMG and DWG, they afe different products RMG is a major booster of metalic pop and neither fills all that well. Dont forget that DWG isnt the only polymer based glaze on the market, Prima have had one out there for ages now.

The 4 of my cars which I will be detailing with any regularity have 0 metallic...I think RMG works wonders on pretty much all paints, metallic or not.

Im going to look at both the Prima Glaze and the CG glaze. That said, neither of those has generated the same buzz that DWG has...whether that says anything is up for debate. :nixweiss

IMO, DWG last a bit longer and the great thing about it is that it will bond to anything, so you won't have a problem with the LSP.

That was a thought of mine: I love my RMG, but cant apply my EX-P or UPP as an LSP...if I want RMG and durability its got to be 845 as my LSP.

I might just go ahead and buy this (I wish I knew how many times Ive done this since joining Autopia...:doh )

You can lay the DWG as a base, top your LSP, or sandwich it in between or any combination you want without bonding issues. Can't go wrong with that.

Not true! In the UK JS 109 and CG EZ G went hand in hand and are very popular.

Just on here Bob Danase and all credit to him have got a good rep for excellent customer service and good products which boosts the reasons to buy it!

As for Prima, its just one of those things like Clearkote Yellow Creme Wax (glaze thing) 90% of you will pass over it and 90% of you will pass over on a good thing.

:cooleek:

Email the vendor and let him know, he seems like a reasonable chap and if he can improve his store with things like that im sure he can. My g/f just made an order with him (second) and as always it went really smoothly :2thumbs:

actually I find that RMG works well under EX-P

RMG, EX-P, Natty's blue is on of my fav. combos

Thanks for the reply...I didnt see it until just now as frequently I wont get the proper email updates.

I had actually never even tried RMG topped with a sealant as I believed in the principle that sealants shouldnt be applied over glazes. Good to know it not only work but looks great.

Ive seen good things about JS109 stateside. You're right though, its never had that crazy hype that makes you "need" to go out and buy some.

If you had to pick between CG Glaze and the Prima Glaze which would you choose? :nixweiss

So tempted to pick up some dwg. But shipping almost doubles the price if you're just getting that one item.

Thats why I havent placed my order yet. I generally just wait until I need something else or can justify another product before paying as much for shipping as I do for 1 product.

+2

I thought about picking some DWG with a layer or so of Z2Pro combo but $10 bucks for shipping for one bottle made me wait.

Damnit, kept on reading and researching DWG and just ended up ordering it. Picked up a few of those $1.50 edgeless MFs on clearance with it to "try" and justify it. Hope it's as good as everyone claims. One word of advice if you're trying to hold off, quit reading about it!

Um! I couldent give you an honesyt answer to be honest i have been through a whole bottle of CG EZ Glaze and have been using DWG until christmas. Now im hooked on the Prima line, i need to get the spring details done first! It seems to be the in thing and gets good results, you wont be dissapointed.

Im still confused a bit buy the claims it bonds, so does that make it a sealant!? Anyway!

All i would say is that the Prima glaze its called Amigo has more filling abilities. They are acutally noticable, so that might effect your choice. Not all my family memebers have been keeping up with swirl free wash techniques it seems :bat. I slapped some Amigo on a just before the end of Feb after a using DC 1 paintwork cleaner and topped with EX-P. All done by hand at my sisters, after Amigo most of the micro marring and wash induced marring was gone.

Hmm. I kinda thought this might be the case where they all look great and its hard to distinguish much between them.

Im generally pretty good about keeping my cars swirl free. That said, Im happy to have a product in my arsenal that can do some minor masking should I need to do a quick cover-up in between details.

If, for the sake of argument, Prima "Amigo" had no filling abilites would you like the looks of it as much as DWG or CG EZ Glaze?

Thanks for your help!

Well DetailDoc's post in the click and brag pushed me over the edge, I ordered some tonight! (along with a Phat towel just to try out)

I'm curious to see how well it plays with Zaino.

Just a little off-topic, you'll like the towels. Tried mine yesterday for the first time.

They have a weave that looks like the Sonus polishing MF so you expect them to have a lot of 'bite'. But they don't. Very soft and gentle on the paint.

Probably best for wax removal. Great value. :up

Check out WG Sealant over RMG....:bow

OT (sorry)

So you've put WG Deep Gloss Sealant over RMG and it didn't smear or anything? Did it effect durability at all?

I've been fighting the resistance of buying more detailing product but like others DWG has me itching.
