DWG vs high end carnauba

For those that have used DWG and some higher-end carnauba waxes like Pinnacle Souverän or P21S 100% that are geared towards looks over durability--how would they compare to DWG? DWG has been praised for adding a good deal of wetness/depth...can this compete with a expensive car show-style carnauba wax?
 
It is a glaze with acrylic polymers that can be layered in about any step of the LSPs, according to the description--"can be topped with wax or sealant, can be applied on top of wax or sealant."
 
So what's the answer to the question?



I have some DWG on the way, but I would like to know what to expect in terms of looks compared to a quality carnauba as well.
 
Two completely different types of products, so you can't really compare them on the looks. However, if you want to compare just the wetness (which is what DWG will give you), I'd say the DWG adds the most wetness. In terms of depth, Pinnacle Souveran takes the price. P21S100% takes the price for clarity and brightness that makes metallic paint pop.
 
I personally wouldent mix CG EZ GLAZE or whatever variation Jorgens, Danase etc. with high end Nuba wax.



Put simply the high end products give a great clarity of colour and optics, EZ-G, JOrgens, DWG all darken paintwork and denie the optical brilliance of the original paintwork colour and optics.



Jorgens, DWG, CG EZG all create a level of "wetness" or "plastic" which isnt true, its faux and personally doesnt compliment a high end a wax.



Now where you say high end wax is i dont know, thats up to you. All though its worth noting products that things like Souveran wax do darken a the paint a bit more then say Zymol Carbon or the other blue waxes. I wouldent go laying in any of those polymer glazes with high end waxes like Destiny, or even as low as Concours.



There seems to be an obessesion of late of applying these newer glazes to just about every detailing product going. But remeber, what are you trying to achieve?



Maybe im a purest who wants the best, who loves techincal form, im not knocking the above products as i use them but they have a time and place. Its worth considering this before jumping on a product hype.

What am I trying to achieve? More wetness and depth. But I prefer to do it without resorting to a carnauba if possible, because of the dust attraction.
 
So you say in your opinion you should not use a glaze with high end waxes?

Im not saying you shouldent use a glaze, i do mainly RMG. But i would just be careful that you choose one that compliments the finish. I would say that if you working for the best look out of the paintwork as opposed to creating a certain look in the finish that EZ-G, DWG etc would not be the one to go for.
