DWG vs CG EZ Creme Glaze?

I have some EZ Creme Glaze and have been looking at a lot of amazing posts using DWG  DWG really interests me because of the lack of cleaners, and I want to layer it with other sealants like UPGP - but being in the UK this stuff is tough to get hold off :(

Can anyone tell me if there is a significant difference in looks, and in particular wetness, between the 2 glazes, or is the main advantage simply the ability to layer over other stuff with no cleaning going on?

I have an old bottle of CG EZ and it says it has mild cleaners in it. I havent tested it, but am hesitant to use it over UPGP or other stuff, even by hand, as I dont want to strip whats underneath...

I hope I might have found a way to get some DWG soon but would like to know a little bit more about it ideally.

Many thanks

Hi,

Im pretty sure the only difference CG EZ glaze and DWG is the service from the vendors, Danase gets some great reviews.

I heard about the forumulation change from CG's and also read it on here a few days ago. If its any advantage over your choice just are CG how you can tell if your product is new one or not.

Neither of these products work like normal glazes that you might be used to. A normal (oil) based glaze will acutally go in the pores of your paintwork. When the pores are full, the more glaze you apply will probably be rubbed off, except for that going in to any swirl marks etc.

CG EZ G etc. talk about creating strong links with the surface etc. acting really like a sealant. I suspect all they are is sealants which dont major on durability but on gloss.

With regard the cleaning action of the old one, i can really tell in that i put some on oxid. paintwork and it made no difference. I suspect its a bit like NXT in that it really only has cleaning action when its machine applied. Either that or like Finish Kare, its a bit of an overstatement and it only cleans to a degree that it removes what it needs to bed itself down? Who knows as that action has gone now!

Used DWG for the first time last week. It is by far my new favorite product (along with ONR) Got both these products from Danase. DWG is everything people have said it to be. Can't stress enough what a fantastic product this is. Has a great wet look and is easily layered. Infact, it is so wet looking that I topped it with my old faithfull #26 and the wax actually muted the glaze. Couldn't believe it and was very dissapointed. But will have to try something new in terms of waxes.

The owner came down today and saw what it looked like on his girlfriends car and was so impressed that he asked me to put it on all of his cars. Usually not a big deal except in this case since he has so many. But I am looking forward to these cars getting a couple of layers.

ON a side note, got my other package today. Ultrafina and PS21 100%. Totally stoked and will report on them with a click and brag this coming week.

DWG with UPGP or P21s100% is an awesome combo. The great thing about DWG is that you can put it under or on top of anything with no bonding issues.

Going to try the combo tomorrow Doc. Looking foward to it especially since I just got the PS21 100% today. It is going on a Vanquish.

Are you doing DWG, UPGP, and P21s100% or DWG with P21s100%?

I found that topping DWG with a wax muted its look as well. I either layer DWG or use FK425 or OID. Very intrigued by the UPGP postings...

Also, wax is a dust magnet and just doesn't give a crisp look on metallic silver over DWG. I'm guessing it might be different on a non-metallic color especially darks though.

good to hear - did the 3rd layer today so hope to see the breakthrough tomorrow :D Going to top a few panels with OS then and see if there is any impact.....?

The 2 waxes that looked real nice on DWG was CG's 50/50 and Fk1's Pink wax..they really look great on top of the glaze....

for me it was cleaners (or lack of them) in DWG that means I can layer it over other sealants and itself...want to get that DWG/UPGP look that is awesome on the dark silver colour :D
