Dust is driving me crazy.

I sympathise with the OP. At least you get a chance to drive it first. :).

In GR, being close to Africa, the southern wind brings in Saharan desert dust. After 4 hours of work and in just 5' this is rested on the finish.

FK425 has shown improvement vs just washing. DG951 was not tested in the 'dust season' yet.

Got to agree daily drivers will get dusty. In one week *I* think my car looks filthy. All my friends ask me, however, 'hey did you just wash it?'. So overall it must not be that bad. :)

I've had the best luck with Zaino as well.

Things I've tried:

1. Drive really, really fast to blow it off. (The speeding tickets get expensive)

2. Never park the car so dust doesn't settle. (Bad for gas mileage)

3. Park in a 'car bubble' storage pod. (It's a conversation starter)

4. Attach negative ion magnetic grounding leads to car (Dust doesn't settle but floats in a cloud above car)

5. Sleep in garage with QD and microfiber in hand. (For some reason my wife is all to willing to let me do this)

I've actually found that MF creates static when buffing product off. Try it next time. After you buff, hover your hand over the area. You may notice a "pull" effect on the hairs of your hand/arm.

Also, isn't static created by the friction of moving air molecules over the surface of the vehicle while in motion?

Also dislike on the california duster.
