I just tried Duragloss and man it's great!! easy to apply and remove.

I used their pre polish (direction say to apply and leave to help the Duragloss bond). I used a PC with a Edge Blue pad @ 3, then applied the Duragloss with a Meg's softbuff @3. I let is sit for 30 mins then removed. The Duragloss almost seems to dissapear in the paint, I had to lean to see that I was getting coverage (where I could see the pad marks - it went on really thin!).

Results are great! check em out -

what look like white specs are actually the reflections from the metallic paint in the sun!

I love the reflection in the paint and the clarity of the metallic paint -

great work, it really brings out the metalic doesnt it..

I am guessing that you were using the DA edge pads. How did you find them over say meg pads?

Tony

They are slightly smaller in diameter than the Meg's and a little bit thicker. The foam on the megs seems denser though. I have had four pads from EDGE (DA kind) one of the green's the velcro backing came off the day I got it :( - the other three seem to hold up though. They have a hole in the center like the rotoary pads so that can be a pain - but I get good results with them.

Oh I forgot to metntion - the Duragloss also has a product called Fast Clean Shine (a spray and wipe type of product) that is awesome too and it works with the sealant...one GREAT thing about the Duragloss products is they are inexpensive. The polish and the FSC together were < 13 bucks (6.95 for the sealant, the FSC was on sale for 4 bucks!!!!) -

Groebuck, you have the car that I want. I would like that year and model in either black or your color. You got a very nice shine there, keep up the good work.

I use their car wash from time to time and have wondered how their other products are since the wash is decent.

Can you compare the product to anything else you have used?

hmm well I would say ease of use it matches UPP and EX - UPP leaves the slickest finish I have ever felt of any sealant I have used - I would say it is close to EX in slickness - for claity and shine I would rate just a little below UPP again - Since EX has Carnuba it gives me a much deeper/richer result.

So Far I really like the shine and since it is off the shelf and cheap I think I will add it to my premanent collection - I plan on trying out some of their other products..

I am not sure about it's layering abilities yet so I may try to add a few coats this week and see how it looks - but it is definatly a great shine with little work.

Looks really good. I used some Duragloss products when I first started but the parts store that was selling them went out of business. I really liked the wash and the rubber/vinyl protectant. The polishes are pretty good too, and you can use them in the sun.

I can get them at the local car quest shop - they carry the whole line including the car wash - I can send them to you no problem if you want some.

I appreciate the offer, but right now I have so much stuff I am testing as it is. We do have a Car Quest in Arlington, so I'll go by and see what they carry. It's only about 4-5 miles from me. Thanks for the heads up on who carries their products!

I have used the Duragloss Fast Clean Shine, and it does work well. It also has anti-static properties, as stated on the bottle. When you using it, you can smell something that smells like StaticGuard. It does seem to keep the dust off on my black vehicle better than a regular QD spray.
