Ya, that's what I would think too. I've ordered things from other auto parts stores and never had to pay shipping before. All this DG talk has convinced me that I should try some 105, I also wanted to get some Meguiar's stuff. I asked the guy at carquest if they could order Duragloss and Meguiar's products they don't have out on the shelfs. He told me they could but I would have to pay the shipping charges as well. Maybe I will try the carquest on the other side of town. The chick that works at that store is cute anyway. :grinno:
 
Carquest is weird. It's not really a place where I'd want to shop all the time. The stores are somewhat difficult to find, the hours suck, the selection is slim and varies store to store, and their products sit on the shelf for way too long. I drove around to a few different CQ around here in SoCal and to be honest, just save your time and gas money buying it directly from DG or any of the online retailers.



If you like some of Meg's products right now, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at DG's products. At the minimum, try out 105, AquaWax, and their car wash concentrate.

:2thumbs: Smarter words were never spoken! Those three products are in my top 5 favorite all time (along w/ Menzerna polishes).

Tigermike and my self called to get a discount for the forums....I think the reason no discount evolved is they have other online vendors selling it also...and if DG gave a discount it would take away from the online vendors....since DG ships for 4.95..I would rather have the cheap shipping than a discount...if you buy in gallons the shipping works out better.....try getting a order like 105...601....501..`101.....1 gallon of AW...901...FC&S...and the Marine detailer shipped from any one for 4.95.....

BlackElantraGT Or you can order from Autogeek, pay slightly less than DG's MSRP, and get free shipping using the "AGO" code for orders over $75. I bought all my gallon bottles from them. You can also get Carquest to order the product from their warehouse for you. Their prices are also below MSRP and better than AG's, but you have no idea how fresh their products are.

So you guys are saying I can buy Gallon bottles of DG from autogeek because they sure do not list it ...or do I phone this in>? That would even be better.:grinno:

Is the AGO code always good....or just when they have the free shipping Promo.....I know I ordered a few months ago ..and it was over 75.00 and did not get free shipping...would not take the code...



Anyways I order from DG..close to me and I get it in 2-3 days..plus I ask for samples..and they load me up.....I have about 20 bottles of PBA in 2 oz bottles...lol...pocket size...and bug wash...shampoo...have to talk to Bill or Jerry about the samples....just say your interested in the different products....in fact Jerry formulated a Deer Attractant scent for hunting....he sent me about 4 bottles of it over fall and winter...to test...he is going to market it now....



Plus I like shooting the breeze with them...

I've used the AGO code numerous times now over the past year and it's always worked. In fact, before you even submit your order, you can tell if it's going to work or not. But, they make it where you can only use one code so it's either the 10% autopia code or the AGO free shipping code. Unless they run some kind of deal where you automatically get something without the use of a code (like free shipping) would you then be able to use something like the autopia code.



Also, if you have a gift certificate from them, you won't be able to use a code because the place to enter your gift certificate code is the same for the coupon code field. In that case, your best bet is to leave a comment in the comment box of your order and see if they will honor it.



2 weeks ago they ran a deal with free shipping (no code required) so I placed an order to get the free shipping + 10% off. Well, whoever was working on their website took the offer down a bit early (it was supposed to end 7/31) so even though I submitted my order before the deal ended, I was charged for shipping. I left a comment for my order, but the charge was not removed. Maybe the shipping dept doesn't have the power to do something like that? I had to send a follow up email and they took care of it really quick.
