I have the Duragloss Bonding Agent, Swirl Mark Remover & Total Performance Polish.

My question is do I use the Bonding Agent first then the Swirl Remover then the TPP?

Or Swirl Remover first then Bonding Agent, TPP?

:help:

do your polishing with the SMR...buff off...then apply the bonding agent..let it haze...

but do not remove..then apply the 105 over the bonding agent....let haze up..15 minutes..depends on weather...buff off after that time..

if you want apply a second coat to make sure all is covered...haze... buff off...

I can do the bonding agent and 2 coats of sealant in a hours time....taking my time

How often is the bonding agent (PBA-601) used? ... Is it needed later, or are future layerable coats of 105 sufficient? ... btw, have any current DG users also used FK1 products and been able to make any direct comparisions?

use the bonding agent before the first application of 105.you then can layer 105 or AW without any more PBA. It is very durable-I'd guess it's durability is equal or better than FK. It provides a clear wet look and beads water very well. IMO it's the closest product to Zaino available OTC- slightly different look than Z tho.

So I went out and played with some Duragloss stuff.... The swirl remover was VERY tough to get off. I am doing all this by hand and I probably used way to much of the product?

I know the Bonding agent is suppose to haze... do you have to put this on pretty heavy? Because after the swirl remover I decided to try and use less product with the bonding agent. It just seemed to melt into the paint. Sooooo, I went back with more bonding agent and at least I could see a haze this time. The TPP acted like I expected it to.... easy on easy off and my Jeeps Solar Yellow hood looks very wet.

Aquawax REALLY amazes me... Our Silver Honda Odyssey that has way less then perfectly prepped paint..... has 1 coat of Aquawax last week, driven in the rain twice and still looks REALLY clean.

What are you using to spread the PBA 601 with ?? I too have a bit of trouble applying this on as it seems to melt right into the paint.

let the bonding agent melt in the paint..no reason to apply it heavy....it is suppose to melt in...thats what a bonding agent does..sets up the paint to to act as a catylst for the sealant...apply it thin...does not take much product to get results...

its like using Zaino or Klasse Sg..real thin is in...

After bonding agent is on for say 15 minutes..apply your sealant...the bonding agent has something in it that makes the sealant bond better and also makes for a harder sealant finish...like epoxy...
