Duragloss 671 Swirl remover

I like Duragloss products. But the old wise ones here say for polish or compounds - look elsewhere. Personally ,I think there are very few companies that have the best of all. Meg's gets decent reviews on their stuff and I use their compounds #85 and #84 for paint correction. Menzerna gets good reviews too but they're pricey. I bought the WolfGang kit and honestly, the only things that were really worth the money (to me) were the clay and of course - the Sealer, everything else I could get from other companies much cheaper and better (again- IMHO) My advice is to look at Meg's #83 and #80 - then use DuraGloss PBA and 105, followed by AW naturally!

To answer the question you asked - yes, I have used the DG 671. For light swirling it's okay. Probably better than most things you can pick up locally. You might could use it on heavier marring if you have the time to sit and work it. I'm not sure what polishes you're used to using, but if I had to comapre it to Poorboy's SSR line I'd say it falls somewhere between SSR1 & SSR2, leaning on the lighter SSR1 side.

Thanks for the replies. I really have not used much of anything. I just sold my 2006 black acura TL and now drive a 2006 dark blue dodge Durango. Of course the black drove me nuts. I have the old OPT polish, DP super swirl remover, and the DP finial finish polish along with a lot of other popular waxes and sealants. I was thininking of selling it all and using duragloss 111 and then 105. Thanks guys for your replies.

The DP Super Swirl Remover is a very good product. Follow it up with the DG 671 and you'd have a pretty good combo capable of removing a good bit of marring.

Cool I have not used the DP Super SR and have not heard from anyone who has. I will have to give it a try. Thanks.

You sold an Acura and got a Durango? I use to have a Ram 1500, quad cab w/Hemi, 4X4 and 20's - so did you get a gas station to go with it?LOL!

Good one JuneBug. Long story.. But I am getting a company car so it did not make much sense ..$$$ to have that awesome car sitting in the garage while I paid it off. Married with children will do that to a guy. The Durango is a third car so it wont be driven that much and I got a really god deal. Was not easy.

I hear ya bro, got a wife and 2 duaghters that are growing up way too fast. We have a Sienna and a Rav4. I got the Rav, V-6 and it's fun to zip around on. And easier to park than the Ram 1500. I like the Durango's too, there's nothing on God's green earth that sounds as good as a V-8 with a good set of pipes. The kids on the Civics with the fart-can muffers give me a good chuckle everytime I hear one. My wife (who was driving a new 300Z when we met in 1989) informs me that she's not going to be mini van lady forever, not going back to sports cars, but she's all into MDX's.

How is the clear coat on the dodge? The Honda clear is pretty thin and easy to scratch but easy to correct. I have the darker blue color. What polishes worked best for you? Thanks for the tips.

Dodge? sold that after 6 months and gas went from $1.86 to Arm for reg and Leg for premium. Currently we both have Toyotas, clear coat seems pretty hard. Products, I bought Wolfgang, XMT and Megs. If I could do it all over, I'd get Optimum compound and polish, and Duragloss 105 as a LSP. The only things I like about WG is the clay and the sealer, XMT -#3, and Meg's #84. Products I've tried and would not buy again: Wheel Wax - pricey, hard to take off and last about as long as Meg's cleaner wax, Natty's Blue, I'm NOT a carnuba guy, I hate the way it attracts dust.

I have the older OPT polish..the formula that clogs. Dp Super swirl remover and DP finial finishing Polish. I have a nice little collection myself. I wish I would have discovered DG first. I could have saved some cash. So far the only product I have been disappointed with it the Rain repel. I personally have not been able to justify using the 901 shampoo when I am getting GC gal for 10 bucks at Target.

I guess I am just gonna have to try ech polish on a seperate pannel and see which one works best. I will let you know how it goes. I plan to polish the use 111 and the 105. Thanks again for your help.
