Durability of Collinite 845 over PB Black Hole Glaze

I just bought a used black Ford Ranger and I won't be able to get the swirls removed for awhile. I was wondering if I used something like collinite over PB's Black Hole glaze how long the swirls will remain covered? Would I be better off with something like Prima Banana Gloss?

845 amplifies swirls, so if there are any left after PB Black Hole, its going to show. And I think the solvents in 845 will probably disturb the black hole. NXT, OCW and Poli-seal are great swirl hiders, though the swirl hiding fades fast on any of them.

I agree...845 is good for lighter colors, but I'll use BFWD on darker ones.

I have banana gloss...it says right on the bottle only lasts 6 weeks or so...durability isnt all that great, but I didnt get it for that reason. It hides pretty well! I used it on a black escalade the other day and it came out pretty good!

I think banana gloss would be easier since it's a one step. I imagine that would do a better job at concealing than a glaze since really that's what it was designed for. My question is, does the concealing ability hold up to weekly washings during those 6 weeks? I wouldn't mind waxing every month. I've seen some pics posted of a heavily swirled black vehicle that had banana gloss applied and the results were pretty impressive.

Its bold and bright, whenver I've used it, it highlights defects more than any other wax.

That makes sense , I have a med. gray metallic gray vehicle and never noticed it. I'll have to watch for it now.

Yeah, it looks great on gray, silver, whites. Put it on black with any defects and ouch!

This past winter, I used IW845 right over PB's BH with no bonding issue. This was applied in late October and lasted until about 3 weeks ago (the beading was still there and most of the light swirls were still concealed). From what I have read, Prima Banana Gloss is an excellent one step wax/concealer that should be able to be locked in via another pure wax.

That is true... When I used Opti-Seal on my black car. It made everything look shiny, even the touch I made got amped out too. I know it's off subject but same situation with different product,.
