Durability of AJT?

A search will show that Carlack makes Werkstatt ... If i recall ..you can also see on Jeffs Werkstatt's Website that they have a partnership with Carlack or actually you see a link to JeffsWerkstatt on Carlacks usa site. I also think Carlack was said to be Klasses Mfgr as well.

I think Jeff commented once that the durability of AJT should be no different than AJ. That said, I do get slightly more durability out of AJ... My sisters car went 8 months with prime+aj and I applied AJT over it at 8 months, so who knows how much longer it would have gone.

So Werkstatt's is related to Klasse? So it's ok to use my Sonus QD on top of AJ?

JW quote:

"we have never made it a secret that we work with CarLack Chemie on product development and manufacturing. In addition, JEFFS Werkstatt owns the rights to all CarLack 68 products in the United States. We have no affiliation with Klasse USA, and unlike XXX, we prefer not to make comments on the operations of other companies other than to say that Klasse products are certainly not the same as Werkstatt products nor CarLack 68 products."

I have read from multiple older threads that AJT is slightly watered down AJ(to improve sprayability), so durability will be slightly less. AJ is at 2.5 months on my dad's garage queen, and while it still beads decently and looks really good, slickness is down.

I thought I remembered reading in one of these threads that quoted an email from Jeff that the formulation was just to lower the thickness/viscosity of AJ but that AJT still contained the same high concentration of chemicals but also with improved gloss and wetness.

I really like the Prime AJT combination. Nothing could be easier to use and as of now my car has this combo going on 4-5 months and it's still going strong. I'm itching to add more AJT after a wash but I want to see how far this goes; I'll probably let it go 6 months if it gets that far and give in.

I'm starting to wonder if adding some regular AJ into the mix might be worth it...

Part of the AJ "Overview" on their webpage....

"As the most durable Jett product, Acrylic Jett is the choice for vehicles that see heavy use cycles and higher than average exposure to the elements. Likewise, this is the choice for protecting the vehicle prior to harsh winters when regular detailing is impossible."

Part of the AJt "Overview"

"But, it is so easy to apply, you may find yourself using it as a booster wax between full detail sessions."

Based on the overall tone of the both "Overviews" Looks aside, AJt is marketed as durable and easier to apply, AJ seems to marketed more for its durability.

I think I may go with"

- Prime Strong

- AJ

- and keep it maintained with Sonus AG&AS.
