dupont carnauba wax (QM-101)

if its anything close to the quality of paint they make it might be a fairly good wax but as you mentioned there is not any info on it.

im in the process of testing it (im not a pro detailer, truth is am just starting)... i had a conversation with a well known detailer here in the philippines...particularly in manila and i was about to buy a bottle of 845IW then he told me to try the dupont as they had experience with it. he told me that its durability is comparable to the 845... i was a bit skeptical at first but then i told myself there would no harm if i tried and i could always buy an 845 if i didnt like it... so off i went to the a local shop ( the detailer's shop didnt have it in stock) and bought a can of the dupont ( around $14). when i opened the can...it didnt have any pleasant smell like mothers CGPC.... it smelled more like faint petroleum...... i didnt have time to do the proper prep of the paint, so i just gave my car a good wash with my car soap ( my car had some paint contaminants) i just wanted to know how it would feel to use it compared to others and how it looked.... after washing, i dampened my foam applicator and dabbed it a little and put a thin coat on the hood and let it haze a little... wiped it off and i was surprised how it easily it went off ( i have tried the ff wax: 3m PISC liquid, mothers CGPC, BMW liquid wax, TW hard shell.. i know its not that extensive : ).... but i was waaay easier to wipe off than the 3m, hazed lighter than the mothers..... after putting it all over the car and wiping it off... i put out the car for the sun to shine on it, was delighted on how warm it looked and my microfiber glides smoother now on the paint surface compared to the mothers..... will be posting pics.. as soon as i wash the car....really dirty now cause its so dusty here in our place and i have no garage...the car sits out in the sun all day... only thing i have is a car cover...........talking about durability....i'll still find out.... thanks all and thank you for reading!!!

yup, kinda weird as i couldnt find it in any US site... it can only be found in the dupont (mexico) site....hhhmmmmm

after 1 week... the car sits almost all day under the sun coz we dont have a covered garage, except on some days i cover it when i stay at the house maybe about twice a week. our place is also dusty so i dust the car every time i leave. decided to wash the car late this morning coz there was some overcast and thought it was a good time to wash..... dusted the car first, then gave it a good rinse (without touching it) only using the pressure from the hoseand dried it with a chamois... i was happy how the wax beaded...from what i saw from this forum, somewhat like collinite 845? correct me if im wrong..again im not a professional detailer, just a car owner who loves to spend time with his car...

oh well here are the pics i took...sorry coz my camera isnt that good...

The search is on! Who's selling it over here? Weird... Dupont is an American company, but this seems hard to find.

Probably has something to do with the chemicals used. Maybe they don't meet US regulations?
