A local forum member approached me about having his 999R corrected for the first time after seeing the 1199 Panigale I did recently. Owner decided on an 80%+ correction and we went with a 2-step correction to achieve this. About 7 hours went into this job.

No wax present at all on the paint....no water beading whatsoever, bike needed some love.

After washing and claying I brought it inside to get it ready for correction work. Plenty of defects to deal with.

After compounding and before the final polishing, here are a few sun shots. The sun was setting so I got what sun pics I could. The final polishing would bring more gloss and clarity to the paint.

Thanks for checking it out!

Yes! Yes! Yes!!! I LOVE Ducati 999's (although many don't).. and the "R" version is just so hot. Excellent work on one of my all time favorite motorcycles.... Great pictures and awesome job. Thank you for sharing!!! You made my Monday morning!!! :rockon

great job on the bike. I agree with tropicsteve, until you done one you can't relate to the time involved. 7 hours and you left it together easily add another 3 hours if you were to take it apart to really clean everything.

This is why my bike gets a wipe down with BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond Waterless Wash and that's it. Even the wipe down can take me a couple of hours....
