Drying your paint

Killrwheels over at the Autogeek forum recently came up with this
as an aid to drying your car to reduce micro marring. He stated that he
used a QD. I put in the product of my choice.
After washing and when I start drying. I use a Ultimate Guzzler and Poorboy's
Spray & Wipe by spritzing a panel while drying. It helps reduce drag and
adds pop to the paint while drying. I think the lubrication helps reduce
micro marring big time. I then go over with Spray & Gloss. Viola! I will be
doing this from now on.

Yep! Very popular method for drying, and for some a real time saver as it allows them to qd and dry at the same time.

Yeah, that's a pretty good aide. I have been doing that for a while now, and not only does it aide in drying the vehicle, but it also adds some shine to the finished product.

After a wash, and during the drying process is the only time that I QD.

It removes any soap residue, restores any lost slickness, and definitely adds to the look of your paint. Right now I'm using Z6. I wasn't a big fan at first (during cold/damp weather), but now that it has warmed up, it's the only one I reach for. I'm not sure 'what's different' in Z6 vs. other QD's, but I can notice it. It wipes off streak free, has a ton of slickness, and really puts some zing in the paint. In the winter, I've had better success with #425.

quick detailing while drying... this must be after a low pressure rinse right?? i have some z6 znd z8 in the house and can vouch for both of them any time. love it!
