I got the savings coupon code in the email and am ready to order some more waffle weaves. I looked on the Autopia store and noticed 2 different waffle weave drying towles that looked exactly the same. The sonus and Blue pearl. Same price too. Whats the difference? One better thann the other? I have about a half dozen of them That I got about 5 years ago but I cant remember what make they are. :nixweiss

If you read down on the sponsors section about Sonus products, there is an thread where David mentions the Utlimate Drying Towel and the Sonus Der Wunder Drying Towel are going to be merged into a new line called the Sonus Der Wunder Drying Towel II? I wonder if the Blue Perl is the new name for the Sonus Der Wunder Drying Towel II? Not sure what the difference between I and II are, that was never explained in the thread.

judging by the pic, i would get the blue perl drying towel, it looks to be the ultra-soft ones...

It looks identical to my Sonus Der Wunder Drying Towel (which I really really like). We may need Lynn or David to offer some explaination.

these look to be the same as the yellow sonus ultimate drying towel (which is no longer available) but just in a different color...

+1

The Blue Pearl looks to replace the Sonus Ultimate Drying towel, which were really soft waffle weaves.

i have both of those towels. The blue one is for drying, works great. I use the yellow one to clean glass and interiors etc

I believe that I have the Sonus ones then. The Sonus towels have waffle weave on both sides. The exploded picture of the Blue Pearl above has only one waffle side and plush side. I personally like having the waffle on both sides for drying .

The Ultimate Drying Towel was not near as thick as the Sonus Der Wunder Drying Towel, however the Ultimate Drying Towel was noticably softer. I wish they would hurry up and come out with the Sonus Der Wunder Drying Towel II, it has my curiousity up!!

I agree, if you're going to get a waffle weave, might as well get one with waffle weave on both sides, especially since they are the same price.

However, I have just receiced by UPS one of Danase's Water Devourers and they are receiving incredible reviews. Looking forward to trying it out!

i have both the regular thicker and softer WW's, and the ultra-soft ones do a good job and absorb pretty well. i don't like to use anything other than the ultra-soft WW's (regular ones are tad too hard for my taste) or a x-large mf drying towel...

i believe it is the same dual WW design on both sides. i have yet to see any WW with two different sidings, especially with the ultra-soft ones...
