Drying Towels

I bought a pair of gold drying towels from Adams some years back and have been told they are now called their "great white" towels. I only use them on black cars or cars I have or know have been polished. Waffle weaves seem to swirl paint over time, maybe it's just mine because the little squares get caught on emblems and unravel.
 
The plush MF drying towels at Walmart (the more expensive, ~$7, ones that're blue on one side and gray on the other) work well, but they lint too much for my taste. IIRC, Tom P, who turned me on to them, hasn't had the same lint issues that I have so maybe YMMV in that regard.
