Drying MF towels with Bounce Fabric Softener = Ruined?

I had just got my shipment of MF towels from Pakshak the other day (excellent service BTW), and according to recommendations of other Autopians I decided to do a quick wash to get rid of any possible lint and dust before my detail.

I did a warm wash with some liquid Tide detergent and a single rinse. However, when I dried the load, I didn't check inside the dryer :o . It turned out that the previous user had left an old bounce sheet sheet there.

So are my towels ruined permanently? Is there any way to fix this? The towels feel slightly stiff right now, and if I pull the sides apart after folding them, they feel like really weak velcro. They do smell great though! (Stupid outdoor scent Bounce  )

for your next wash, put in a cup of white distilled vinegar during the rinse cycle. it should fix the problem.

They always seem to velcro no matter what, it is the nature of the fiber. It is fixable, the vinegar will help, i would also add some isopropyl alcohol in the wash cycle (it is like $.99 a bottle use the whole thing!) and then vinegar in the last rinse cycle (i rinse mine 2x) The vinegar acts as a natural fabric softner and wii make your towels snuggly soft. :)
