OK I have tried ever way possible to apply protectant to my dash without leaving streaks. Iam referring to my dash in my chrysler 300. the dash is made of a rubbery type of material in turn sucks up whatever you apply to it like a marathon runner to a 20oz squeeze bottle at the end of the race. i have tried layering it, applying with a soaked sponge, lightly misting and letting it soak in, and just wiping it down all have the same results = streaks :beat please anyone got any suggestions!
 
You sure do have a tricky situation there. I would try cleaning all of the dressing off and whatever dirt and grease thats under the dressing. I would look into some leather conditioner. I dress every dash with leather conditioner. It doesn't leave a high shine that reflects in the windsheild like a armorall type does.

Doing this will most likely solve your problem.
 
Since the first day that i washed it i used the woolite solution (very impressive but not shocking for a new car that only had 4 miles on it), then followed up with lexol. even then it streaked. eventually a day in the sun it blends in. i have leoxl leather condition and will give it a try tomorrow morning. i never thought of using a leather conditioner on rubber.....now should i follow with protectant.

No i would just put some leather conditoner on the dash. I'm not to familar with the woolite everyone talks about. I would clean the dash with a light degreaser "Purple juice or simple green diluted 10/1" would work then condition it.
 
ok then i will give it a try tomorrow, I aggree Im not a big fan ofthe krisp kreme glazed donut look on the dash and door. Ill let youknow tomorrow on the results..............thanks
 
hey TRUEDETAILER Im orginally from FLORIDA myself Jacksonville to be exact. Its nice to meet someone with the same interest as well as from the same general area.
 
I've had great sucess with VRT from adams and the sponge from adams. It's the old design but it holds the dressing in so that you only put on what the dash will take, it really evens out dressing application.
 
well i recleaned the dash and door panels and applied megs leather clnr / cndtnr first of all there was no streaking everything was evenly applied and looked as that way. It did appear a little dull not that im looking for that wet look. but hey i can settle for this look rather than settling with it looking like a 2 yr old was at play.
