Driven Auto Detail has moved indoors!

Looks great, I guess your ONR days are over now that you have a nice place to wash like that? I always like to see your posts and you are a true pro.. If I lived near you I would not hesitate to bring my cars to you instead of trying to do it myself.. I am busy with my business and detailing the cars is something I do on the limited free time I have..

Thanks Danase & MC!

Mark77 - Thanks for the kind words! Honestly, even though my client details have moved to a traditional wash with Optimum Car Wash, I still add an ounce of ONR into the solution to aid in lubricity and help fight the hard water that we have in our area. I also still do some ONR washes on my won vehicles since it does such a great job. But in general, yes I do more traditional washing these days. ONR will always be in my arsenal though. It has so many uses I would be lost w/o it. Thanks again for all the compliments!

Great looking shop Mike!! I really want to get one too, but as Doot said, its really expensive here in the Bay Area! Amazing place though. I bet your pictures will get even better with the controlled conditions of a shop. With the higher time efficiency you mentioned too, good stuff will come from that extra time, however you choose to use it. One day I hope to pick up a shop like that :)

For you guys in higher rent areas why don't a few of you guys team up and go in on a building together? The potential is off the hook for a good location and a great set up.

This particular shop kind of fell in my lap. It's a long complicated story but to keep it short and simple, the building belongs to a guy I did two details for last fall. There was an airbrush paint touch-up business in my building prior to me but they outgrew it. So when they moved out, I moved in.

Prior to finding this place though, I looked for a shop for about 4-6 months. I'd look online by Googling "commercial real estate for rent" or anything similar I could come up with. I found a couple places that way, but I mostly did my searching just by driving around the areas that I thought would be a good location for my business. It was kind of a long drawn out experience. In the end though, it wasn't till I stopped looking when this one came along.

I love the look of the shop. Congrats. It's really great because it doesn't look like your average warehoust style business park shop. I'm on the prowl right now for something like that, especially with drains on the inside to wash. I'm currently mobile and work out of my garage. I get alot of business because i'll have nice cars sitting all around my house, can't wait until I can do that on a main road with signage and all. Can't wait to see how it looks fully stocked with all the essentials.

Thank you! The drains were the hardest aspect of trying to find a shop.
