This customer was referred to me from a local body shop. Customer is in the National Guard and was getting sent to Iraq so he wanted to get it cleaned up, ready to sell. The exterior of the vehicle wasn't in too bad of shape. It appeared that it was run through the local car wash recently as the hard to reach areas of the exterior were pretty dirty. The front bumper cover was pretty beat up and there were some scratches on the passenger rear quarter panel. The interior was awful. They have at least one kid and so there was a lot of debris spread throughout. There were a lot of stains as well..



Service: Mini-Detail

Wash with Optimum Car Wash

Tires with Optimum Tire Shine

Paint received Optimum Poli-Seal via UDM and Meguiar's yellow polishing pad

PS buffed off with Optimum Car Wax

Exterior glass cleaned with Duragloss Rain Repel



Interior vacuumed

Carpet mats cleaned with water/woolite

Interior plastics and leather cleaned with water/woolite

Interior glass cleaned with Surf City Glass Cleaner



Unfortunately, the sun was no where to be found so the pics are a little dark.

That was nasty inside. I just can't get over how bad people let the interior get, guess they aren't crazy like all of us.
 
Beautiful! Everything is so professional looking with your bags and license plate cover. I'm envious of your level of professionalism. I want to be like you when I grow up! :D





That thing was a pig! Did you miss the seat belt or would it just not come clean? It looks like the baby seat made pretty good indentions in the seat. I can smell the sour milk from here! Amazing transformation.

Thank you for the kind words. I have to give a lot of credit to my wife. She's a graphic designer and works in a marketing department so a lot of that stuff (trash bags, licence plate, etc.) was her idea. I basically rely on her for anything advertising.



I didn't clean the seat belts just because they aren't supposed be cleaned, according to the warning label on the seat belt itself. Otherwise, I would.

oh my god that was disgusting. Thats ridiculous, how can someone let an interior get that bad? Some people. Great job on turning it around.

I did not know that you couldn't clean seatbelts. I'll have to double check mine again more closely. I've cleaned them before though..oh well..guess I better not get into a wreck!



I too am interested in where you got your license plate. You know..imitation is the most sincere form of flattery and well...I want to be like you! :D
 
I got the license plate from a local sign shop. It's just a vanity plate with my logo done in vinyl. They also did the graphics on my trailer, the magnets for my truck, and the sandwich board. I don't remember what they charged me, but it was pretty cheap. The biggest benefit of the license plate is that I don't have to blur out the pics before posting them online. Plus it is dirt cheap advertising when people see pictures of cars that I detail.

Man some folks are simply hogs in their vehicles. I totally get that people are busy but that is just nuts.



Wonder if that is what the house looks like.



My local detail shop owner has tossed a couple horror stories my way that make this Jeep seem like a summer dream.
 
Funny thing is that they had a very nice house...probably a $300K custom house. I only stood in their entry way which was enough to see their living room. Looked pretty good to me. I guess it just didn't make it to their vehicle, which worked out good for me :)

How do you use Woolite for the interior? Carpet shampooer or bucket and brush? How does it work for the interior panels?
