Dreaming of... a Zaino Waterless Wash!

I didnt insult them IMO. People are seriously useing zaino less and less these days. I remember all the hype years ago and now you dont see hype about zaino like you used to.

Do you also believe that Al Gore invented the internet? Your "claim" and thats all it is, is a "claim" makes about as much sense.

IMO Zaino should keep it's resources on it core 'polish' They have a good product, but the competition never rests

So a company that creates and releases the first WOWA product (clear seal) and an AIO that still looks great approaching 3 months sounds like one that is not resting at all. :xyxthumbs

Indeed!..but Optimum and Ultima are right on Sal's heels! With these 3, you've got a lot of passion for their work and a lot of knowledge in their heads. I don't see any of them resting on their laurels!

It's good to be a consumer :D

I agree 100% with the fact that is a great time to be a consumer. :bow

I could go for a rinseless wash like ONR. ZNR sounds good to me. Although Zaino is somewhat traditional in their approach with cotton recommendations.

I just dont see how there can be so much differene between polymers in a no rinse wash to warrant the hopes of a zaino version over ONR

I thought Z5 was essentially the waterless wash for Zaino, as opposed to a rinseless wash, which would be some kind of ONR equivalent, no?

Essentially, I think it is just a bunch of polymer shinners with some sauce added - in the Z case maybe add some Z8 or CS to the mix. Yummy.

Z6 has very slight cleaning ability. I am really leary of QEW type washes due to my environment. I do use QEW as a concentrated QD/bird drop remover tho. Also, I'd guess Sal is doing OK sales wise with the release of ZAIO(which people have begged for for years) and CS.

Just to play devil's advocate...it could also be a response to those who feel that the Zaino system is needlessly complicated and prefer an easy 2 step system. ZAIO and CS addresses that.

Complicated as with most other aspects of detailing is in the eyes of the beholder. :up

Which is a very good thing, IMO... there are a large variety of skill sets and interests that the companies need to appeal to, including the set of people that need (or only want) a simplier or quicker solution. Whether, in this case it's because the Z system is too complicated is, and will always be, open to debate.

Regardless, Sal seems to be following the trend of providing a more consumer friendly approach that many others have already taken, or are in the process of releasing. Examples: PB Polish w/Sealant, PB Polish w/Carnauba, Opt Poli-Seal, PolyCharger, Ultima, spray sealants, spray waxes, etc...

The above post is exactly why Scottwax said "complicated"! That's my only problem with Zaino.. Seems waaayyyy too many steps when people talk about it.

Z this + Z that + Z morex100 + Z less + Z more x 5 + Z somemore = Nice shine?

and that's after polishing to remove swirls and/or scratches!

It's great stuff, I have used it and it worked very well, but just too many steps for me.

(sigh)

Could we get back on-topic, please? If not, :lock:

Tort

(extremely sleep-deprived, do not taunt today)

I use waterless wash all the time except if my car has been in dirt and or sand areas. If I see anything besides just dust I use a regular wash. I don't drive my 8 in the rain. The Tahoe gets that.

A simple system would be:

ZAIO- 1-2 hours of work

Z5 or Z2- 1 coat (non zfx) 20 minutes to put on 20 to take off= 40 min

CS (optional)- 15 minutes to put and let it vanish into the paint

2-3 hours of time= amazing shine with extreme durability (maybe 4 hours for a newbie, but that is really pushing it beyond time)

Wash weekly and then use Z8 Grand Finale spray to improve and maintain the gloss and durability

I have done this on a bunch of my used cars I sell and they look above and beyond anything I have tried. Some cars may need a compound or ZPC before ZAIO to take out heavy marring.

I am just trying to help out people and show there is a simple zaino system. I am not just a z nut neither.

My top products I use all the time with superb results are:

Presta

Menzerna

Zaino

I hope this helps

Thanks

Ryan
