I offered to help pay for the paint and he said he was having the whole shop painted in a matter of time. Looks like we're going to be sharing the office, too. The office is painted a nice blue and just needs funiture and it'll be set to go. I asked him where I could find degreaser/floor cleaner in a 5 gallon jug so that I could start clean up and he handed me some. This is just getting better and better. He's going to keep a couple of the cars parked in there against the wall by my bay door, but says he'll move them if he needs to.



Also, I know I really need to get a contract, but he's a friend of my parents and I've cut him a break on a personal business transaction in the past, so I think he's making up for that stuff.



He also just wants to give the other detailer in town a run for his money. I need to sack up for the contract, but damn... that's a tough one to bring up.

I sure wish you all the luck in the world. That is a heck of a deal he offered you. Start NOW to try and find a helper or two you can rely on. Good help is the hardest thing to get in the business world.

I hate to bring this up, but I would have some sort of contract drawn up between the two of you. There is a million reasons to do it!!!!!

I just talked to a buddy today that has been washing/waxing my 350z for a while. He would see that it was dirty and offer to clean it up just because it was a discrace to the car. He's really detail oriented. He saw that I was detailing a rig at my cousin's shop today and offered his help in the future. So, I'm pretty set with a hardcore clean freak as a helper.:woot2:

:laugh: I do, but just not often enough for my buddy. The payment was that he got to drive it around town for the day while I pimped his lowered Scion xB, so he was always more motivated for the payment and not the results, I think.
